Video production

Video interview with Svein Ove

One of our first serious projects in the video subject was a portrait interview. I interviewed my stepfather about his music career. The video is shot on a Sony A7 camera and all the sound is recorded with a lavalier mic and a shotgun mic for synchronizing. The music and clips are found in the archives of NRK. We used three point lighting and rule of thirds for the main shots. Additionally we have another angle of the main shot, and some spice clips. The video was filmed and edited by me and my class mate.

Video interview with graff i sør

For our exam me and my classmate decided to contact som street artist we found on instagram. They agreed for us to come film them while they were working on a pice. Since our theme was street art we wanted to capture the work they had done outside as well. We explored a new technique called hyper laps. Sadly we learned the consequences of what happens if you convert an SD-card and lost all our material two days before it was due. After some panic we decided to just be super creative and try to make something cool regardless. Therefore we have filmed both with iPhone and a Sony A7 camera. All the sound is recorded with a lavalier mic and a shotgun mic for synchronizing. The music is found online and mixed to fit the tempo change in the video. We were very pleased when we got an A grade, showing that all our hard work payed off.

Videos for Arendal Kulturhus

We had a bigger project in the second to last semester. This project was a practical ICT-project where we were supposed to find someone to work for or make a project of our own. My group got in contact with Arendal Kulturhus. They had multiple tasks for us but my responsibility became the video part of the project. Arendal Kulturhus wanted two promotional videos and a time-lapse. To advance the difficulty we filmed in s-log which we had not done before, this meant we had to spend more time color grading and think more about the light. Both promotional videos were filmed with SONY FS5II. This camera worked well since we filmed at events. The Timelapse was filmed with GoPro. The music for all the videos were handpicked and Arendal kulturhus paid for them to be used.
